Our goal is to prepare our players to excel, both on and off the softball field.
The experienced coaching staff focuses on fundamental soundness for our younger
players, and strives for mastery of advanced fundamental skills as our player’s
progress. Our ultimate goal is to develop the sportsmanship, mental attitude, and
upper-level skills needed for high school and college level play.
We are a "NO BINGO" organization, relying instead on team-oriented fundraisers to
support our teams.
Our dedicated coaches will strategically select tournaments to ensure that our players
have competitive opportunities to fully-develop and showcase their abilities.
Ashley Carlson (Pitch a Fit 2010-2012) is now the Head Coach for Indian River High School in Chesapeake, VA. Ashley a four-year starter in the outfield for Radford became the first Highlander softball player to compete professionally when she landed a roster spot on Chicago Bandits. Ashley, a left-handed hitting specialist was a great asset to our instructor staff while she worked at Pitch a Fit. Ashley was an active student in the Pitch a Fit program throughout her softball career.
Jenna Rhodes (Pitch a Fit 2009-2011) played for the powerhouse Virginia Teach Hokies for four years. After graduating and attending ODU for a master degree, Jenna instructed hitting at Pitch a Fit. Jenna also played for the Tennessee Diamonds of the National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) softball league. She now enjoys a career as an Emergency Services Clinician at Valley Community Services Board. Jenna was a great instructor and several Pitch a Fit students learned the art form of base running and lead-off batter skills.
Another reason why our students are the best.
